If you missed the lunar eclipse early this morning, don’t worry. Here on the east coast in Florida the moon set before totality could be seen. However, the next one is only six months away!

Here it is – the longest ship in the world!

The  overall length of the Great Lakes freighter M/V American Century (formerly M/V Columbia Star) is stated as an even 1000’00” – one thousand feet.

.

I think it’s longer than that! 😉

I was paddling my surfski, working out and minding my own business when the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower blocked my path in Port Everglades.

You know what happened next, right?

After a brief standoff, the aircraft carrier moved out of my way! 😉
