Winterfest Holiday Boat Parade 2022 – the second Annual Whitney Turner Holiday Parade Paddle.

HAPPY PADDLING HOLIDAYS!

The

51st annual Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Holiday Boat Parade

took place in Ft Lauderdale on December 10th, 2022.

Once again we led the parade as part of the non-motorized vessel pre-show. Notably absent however was our dear friend Whitney Turner, RIP.

Whitney was a key figure in South Florida paddling as the organizer of the South Florida Kayaking Meetup group for many years. He was also instrumental in organizing and hosting our kayak runs of the Winterfest Boat Parades, and as such a new paddling tradition has been borne in his honor.

So this 2022 Winterfest Boat Parade also marks the

Second Annual Whitney Turner Holiday Parade Paddle!

The Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest Boat Parade is our “local” Ft Lauderdale annual tradition for all! It is the largest single event not just in our town, but in all of Florida. It’s also one of the largest in the USA, drawing over a million estimated spectators along a 12 mile route! This is the one time that people from all walks of life get together with good Holiday cheer and become a part of a bigger picture.
