Cabin Fever – when the walls have eyes!

Sometimes the four walls are

way too much!

I’m in bed with a fever – cabin fever and the walls have eyes!! 😮

.

A few years ago I spent a summer guiding in the Upper Penninsula (UP) of northern Michigan. My rustic accommodations centered around an old bunk style camping cabin that had been converted to a stand alone mini apartment. Perfect for the single paddler and I also enjoyed waterfront living for the first time in my life. 🙂

The interior walls were of beautiful local cedar, as would be fitting for Cedarville, MI! After a short while though I began to see the eyes.

The eyes literally popped out of the woodwork!

The eyes of the forest were looking back at me!

Innocent eyes!

Why must you look at me this way?

Pure diabolical genius! 😮
