You seem to be the South Florida man when it comes to kayaking. Coming down in early January to paddle Toilet Seat Cut. We are old and looking for a shorter route if possible besides Tavanier Creek. I read you use to be able to launch at Mile Marker 88 for a modest fee. Also Founders Park? Any information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks, Bill Martin

Hi Bill! Sure if you want to avoid Tavernier Creek then launch at Founders Park, it’s about a 5 mile R/T from there. MM88 might be an option, but idk for certain, you can always stop by, it’s on the way to Founders.. The advantage of Tavernier Creek is that you have the Paddle the Keys shop right there, in case you need to rent boats or boards. Have fun, January is perfect in South Florida!
